Our aims
How the charity aims to benefit Napton and the surrounding area.
Napton and nearby villages
The courts are for the village and everyone nearby. Napton residents get 10% off membership and court hire, and everyone can play together.
Young people, schools and community groups
Coaching, courses and school sessions advance sporting education, one of the four objects in our constitution. St Lawrence Primary School is a short walk away and already uses Napton Sports Field. Its head teacher has said children from the youngest to the oldest could use the courts, from informal sessions to taught lessons. The club will give the school 20 hours of free coaching a year, using both courts at the same time.
Letters of supportBeginners
Free loan of rackets and balls for every booked session, so the cost of equipment is never a barrier to starting.
Older people and players with disability
Reduced membership for under-16s, over-65s and people with disability.
Occasional players
Day Membership lets people play without paying a membership fee.
Backed by the community
Around 37% of Napton households responded to our survey, and 98% of those who responded supported the courts.
What people told usOther local sports
Any surplus will be reinvested in our charitable purposes, including support for local sports clubs.
Looking after the courts
All income will first go on running the courts, so they can keep serving Napton.
