Project Update: March 2026 

Last month has been relatively quiet on the surface, but behind the scenes we continue to move forward. Here is a summary of our current position: 

1. Licensing Progress: We are still awaiting the final licence to build and operate our two padel courts on the Napton Sports Field. Napton Parish Council is currently liaising with the Coventry Diocese to finalise this agreement. 
2. Ready to begin construction: The moment the licence is granted, we are positioned to move rapidly. We already hold full planning permission, our preferred building contractor is ready to be appointed, and we have secured the necessary finances to begin construction immediately. 
3. Maintaining our momentum: Napton Padel remains at the forefront of bringing this phenomenally popular and rapidly growing sport to our community. However, we must continue to drive this project forward with urgency as other local centres begin to develop their own competing facilities. Our goal is to ensure we develop top quality Padel facilities for local players. 
4. Identifying new funding sources: Finally, our fundraising efforts continue. We are actively applying for additional grants and exploring new funding sources to ensure we have the capital required to complete our second court to the highest standard, as soon as possible.
