NAPTON PADEL PROJECT UPDATE

May Update

Licencing Update

We were pleased to receive positive news from the Parish Council earlier this month confirming that the Diocese supports the Council’s proposal to grant a licence/lease for the construction and operation of two padel courts at Napton Sports Field.

A draft licence, enabling Napton Parish Council (NPC) to sublet the relevant area of the sports field for the development, has now been issued by the Diocese.

NPC has also provided us with a draft sublease for the Padel Club. We raised a number of points requiring clarification, which were discussed at the Council meeting on 11 May.

We appreciate that NPC has agreed for these matters to be progressed at a dedicated working group meeting scheduled for 13 May, to help finalise the sublease.

Subject to final approvals, we will then be able to move to the next stage of the process: demonstrating to the Parish Council the suitability of our proposed contractor, On Point Padel Ltd.

New Trustee Joins the Club

We are also delighted to announce that Darius Potten-Ravenshead has agreed to become our fifth trustee.

Darius has a wide-ranging interest in many sports and is passionate about helping the sports field continue to thrive and prosper for future generations. We are extremely pleased to have him involved in the project.

Marketing Support for the Club

We are equally pleased to announce that Ruth Zawoda-Clea has become involved in marketing the club, which will be an essential part of ensuring its long-term success.
Ruth is the founder and CEO of Wearetruly, a locally based marketing company. We are very excited to benefit from her expertise and enthusiasm.

Thank you again for all your continued support and encouragement. We remain very excited about what the future could hold for padel in Napton.

As ever we are ver grateful to RMF Raised Flooring for their continuing support.
